What Are Posts

The Posts screen provides the functionality to manage all posts on your website. Via this Screen, Posts can be edited, deleted, and viewed. Filtering and searching also make it easy to quickly find Posts matching certain criteria. The powerful bulk edit feature allows for multiple Posts to be edited at once.

Click on the Posts tab on the left-hand side to access the Post screen. Here you will see all the posts created along with the following information.

  • The name of the post
  • Author
  • The posts categories
  • Tags
  • Number of comments
  • The date it was published
  • When or if it’s due to expire
  • If it’s shared on any other website

To create a new post, click on the ‘Add New’ button at the top of the page.

When it comes to editing a post (this also applies to pages) you have 2 options. The first option is to open the page and make your edits, or you can choose ‘Quick Edit’. Quick Edit provides an easy method to change multiple values at once, such as Title, Slug, Date, and Category, for a given Post. You can also change the date that the posts were published.

Click on the post title to access the content. Once you have clicked the title, you will be taken to the native WordPress Post section. There are various things you can do on this page, like sharing the post across sites, manage the on-page Posts SEO, and apply categories and tags.

To access the Elementor section to add and edit content, click on the ‘Edit with Elementor’ button at the top of the screen.

To exit out of Elementor and go back to WordPress, click on the burger icon in the top left of the screen and click on ‘Exit to Dashboard’.
